Kilkenny Rose hopefuls gather for launch

Rose hopefuls and sponsors at this year's launch

The 2018 Kilkenny Rose Of Tralee Launch kicked off in MacDonagh Junction on Saturday where a number of hopefuls met with the event organisers.
Co-ordinator, Lyn Moloney said that the launch was a great sucess.
“We spoke to lots of interested girls wishing to find out more about the Kilkenny Rose 2018.
“From there we met 19 hopefuls and some mums in the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel for a short briefing and lots of photographs to officially launch this year’s Kilkenny Rose,” she said.
Award-winning restaurant Aroi also hosted the hopefuls for some tasty treats before the final stop of the night - Brogan’s where the Rose hopefuls were offered a choice of cocktails.

“The girls thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Whilst we had 19 fantastic young hopefuls, we are still welcoming applications from any interested parties to come and join the Kilkenny Rose experience,” she said.

“We would like to say a massive thank you to MacDonagh Junction, Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, AROI, Brogans Bar for all the support they have given us to date and look forward to another successful year with the Kilkenny Rose,” she added.
Anyone who would like to enter the upcoming Kilkenny Rose finals can do so by contacting either of the co-ordinators - Lyn on (083) 4631611 or Steve on (086) 250579 or by making contact through the Kilkenny Rose page on Facebook.
The Kilkenny Rose finals will take place at the Ormonde Hotel on April 14.
