The death has occurred of Padraic Kirwan, 'San Therese', Jerpoint Church and Goatsbridge Trout Farm, Thomastown.
Padraic died peacefully on Saturday, 24 February, in the care of the Matron and Staff of Gowran Abbey Nursing Home, Gowran, Co Kilkenny. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family - loving wife Rita (nee McEvoy) and children Brideen and Gerard (Thomastown), Pat (Durrow), Angela Slattery (Narraghmore), Maura Hughes (Belturbet) and Liz Comboy (Knutsford, UK); brother Seán (Newbliss), sister Bernie McDonald (Cork), brother in law Tommy O'Halloran (Mullinahone), his 15 grandchildren, daughters in law, sons in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his home at Goatsbridge from 2pm on Sunday with rosary at 9pm Sunday night. Reposing from 2pm on Monday with removal to the Church of the Assumption, Thomastown at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass celebrating Padraic's life at 12 noon on Tuesday followed by interment at St Mary's New Cemetery, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny.
The late Dympna Lynch
The death has occurred of Dympna Lynch, Riverside Drive, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny and formerly of Ballisodare, Sligo: 24th February 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, niece of the late Paddy and Kitty Taaffe, Talbot’s Inch: sister of and sadly missed by Irene Feore, Dublin and John Lynch, London. Also, sister of the late Margaret Foster, Dublin and Padraig Lynch, Dublin.
Reposing in Johnston’ Funeral Home, John’s Green, on Tuesday 27th February from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. John’s Church, Dublin Road, for Funeral Mass at 10.30 am. Burial afterwards in Foulkstown Cemetery, Waterford Road, Kilkenny.
The late Eileen Bolger
The death has occurred of Eileen Bolger (née Purcell) Whitmore, Coventry, England and formerly of Gaulstown, Kilmacow, Co.Kilkenny who died on Thursday 22nd February peacefully surrounded by her loving family.Predeceased by her parents Philip and Bridie, Eileen will be sadly missed by her loving husband John, daughters Catriona and Rachael, brothers Michael, Richard, John, Eamonn, Seamus and Philip, sisters Kathleen (Purcell), Bridget (Whelan), Anna (Purcell). brothers -in- law, sisters -in-law, nieces, nephews, family, neighbours and friends.
The late Sr Francis Xavier Gannon
The death has occurred of Sr Francis Xavier Gannon, Presentation Convent, Kilkenny City and Presentation Convent, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny and formerly Millbank, Lucan, Dublin. Peacefully in the Loving care of the staff at Archersrath Nursing Home, Kilkenny. Deeply regretted by the Presentation Sisters, niece Susan Tarpey, nephews Barry, Christy, Brendan and Terry, grandnieces & nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Presentation Convent Chapel, Parnell Street, Kilkenny from 3pm to 5.30pm Saturday with prayers at 5.30pm. Removal on Sunday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
The death has occurred of Harry Matthews, Milltown, Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny who died on Friday, 23rd February 2018, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Eva, sister Mary, Harry will be sadly missed by his loving wife Noreen, daughters Eva and Catherine, sons-in-law Sean and Paul, grandchildren John, David and Daniel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, family, great neighbours and friends.
Harry will be reposing at his home on Saturday, 24th February, from 3pm with prayers at 8pm, removal on Sunday, 25th February, to to St. Senan's Church, Kilmacow arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
