BREAKING: Met Eireann issues Status Red Weather Warning

A Status Red weather warning has been issued for Kilkenny, valid from 4pm tomorrow.

The following warning has been issued by Met Éireann this morning: Blizzard-like conditions will develop in heavy snow and
strong easterly winds on Thursday evening and will continue Thursday night and Friday morning giving significant snow drifts in many areas.

Valid from 16:00 hours Thu, 01-Mar-2018. Valid until 12:00 hours Fri, 02-Mar-2018.

Meanwhile, the Status Orange weather warning remains in place in Kilkenny. Director of services with Kilkenny County Council Tim Butler

“We would advise all to keep in check with the up-to-date weather forecast and only make journeys as necessary,” said Mr Butler.

“Check on any elderly or vulnerable neighbours also.”
