Road blocked from snowdrift in Kilkenny
A Status Red snow and ice warning remains in place in Kilkenny until 6pm this evening but the blizzard like conditions have passed and advice that people should remain indoors has lifted - but they exercise caution in going outside.
Twitter has been reacting to Storm Emma as roads are blocked and the snowfall rages.
