Temperatures are beginning to rise and the thaw continues. Niall Dollard of kilkennyweather.com said people in Kilkenny can expect spells of rain and sleet today and that the temperature will reach between 4 and 5 degrees centigrade.

Meanwhile hard-pressed farmers can avail of foodstuffs for livestock and provisions from their Glanbia Agri branches from 10am until lunchtime today, Sunday.

Some rural parts of the county are still under snow, particularly on high ground and remember to check on elderly neighbours and on those who may be vulnerable in your community.
