An update on impassable roads in the county in the wake of Storm Emma.

Kilkenny County Council have provided an update on impassable roads in the county in the wake of Storm Emma. 

The local authority say there are still lots of issues around: Castlewarren; Muckalee; Knockmajor and Coone areas.

Resources have been deployed to deal with these roads.

Meanwhile:

Piltown Area
The R704 Mullinavat to New Ross is clear but later to-day we will be working to extend the width of the carriageway, motorists are advised to drive with care.
The Glenmore to Ballyfasey Road will have a Snow Plough on it later to-day - Roads LP 3428, LP 3426 & LP3420.
Brownsford Hill is bad at present, Roads Crew have been diverted to clear road - LP 3431.
Garryduff /Black Bog Area which should be cleared to-day.
Frankfort Lane, Windgap is blocked at present but will be cleared by JCB this afternoon.
Thomastown
R703 Thomastown to Graig - still only one lane open. Alot of snow up there. Working on this.
Fiddaun Bridge to Mong - just open - still working there.
Mong to Blessingtion - just open - still working there.
Graiguenamanagh
Sally bog - just open - passable with caution - still working there
Raheen to Coppanagh - just open - passable with caution - still working there
R703 Thomastown to Graig - still only one lane open. Alot of snow up there. Working on this.
The Stripe - currently working on two lanes down there.
Woodlane - just open - passable with caution - still working there.
