We're still in a drought though...kind of
Kilkenny's 25 day absolute drought has ended, according to www.kilkennyweather.com
The summer appears to be over, for the time being anyway, although there is some partial sunshine forecasted for the next few days with highs of 20C predicted.
Yesterday's fall of 2.6mm brought an end to our 25 day absolute drought (basically, no rainfall). Meteorologists also use the term partial drought when you have at least 29 days with no more than 5.8mm. So the partial drought that began on 30 June, still remains.— Kilkenny Weather (@kilkennyweather) July 16, 2018
