Outdoor Music Festival hits right note in ’Comer!

Revellers enjoying the festival

Great music, an electric atmosphere and a stellar line up of acts ensured the Kilkenny Music Outdoor Festival was a smash hit.
This year some massive homegrown names performed at the Erin’s Own GAA Grounds in Castlecomer including The Riptide Movement, Hothouse Flowers and Oski Bravo.
The event, organised by a team of hardworking volunteers, is growing in size and reputation year on year.
Approximately 2,000 people attended the festival. It is estimated that in the region of €30,000 will be raised.
Monies raised from the festival will be ringfenced towards improving juvenile facilities at the club.
David Buggy, who is on the organising committee thanked all those involved.
“It was a great community effort and there was a lot of help from people in the locality,” he said.
“Everyone had a great night and there was no trouble. It was fantastic and credit to all those who have helped out in recent months to make this happen.
“It is brilliant that we have again raised so much money which can be used to continue to improve the facilities that we have here at the club.”
