Questions are being asked as to why no Mass was said at St Rioch's Cemetery on Walkin Street
Questions are being asked as to why no Mass was said at St Rioch's Cemetery on Walkin Street yesterday evening.
A large crowd from the area and further afield arrived at the cemetery for the event. They were upset that the annual Mass, which has taken place for over 15 years, didn't go ahead.
Local councillor Patrick McKee has said he and many others were disappointed with the situation, and he wants to know what happened. He now intends to raise the matter with the Bishop.
"We were all very upset - there were people there in their 90s who had to organise to get there," he said.
"I will be doing all I can to get to the bottom of what happened."
