Heroin, with a street value of approximately €1,000 was seized from a property on Love Lane, Castlecomer on Friday evening.
The house was searched under warrant and a woman in her early thirties was arrested and detained and released without charge. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
The drugs have been sent to the Garda headquarters for analysis.
