Kilkenny Mart auctioneers achieve great result

Kilkenny Mart auctioneers at Cillin Hill

Recently Kilkenny Mart at Cillin Hill achieved €24,000 an acre for a client with a piece of prime agricultural land, just outside the city.
Located at Lavistown, close to the Lyrath Hotel, the lands were offered for sale as agricultural even allowing for their close proximity to Kilkenny and the guide price was €20,000 per acre.
The first bid of €250,000 was by a solicitor, thought to be acting for a local farmer and with no other bids forthcoming an adjournment was called.
On return a new bidder joined the fray and the bids went to €400,000.
After another adjournment and with slow progress the land was put on the market at €450,000 and was eventually sold to solicitor Michael Condon for €480,000 or €24,000 an acre a good price for agricultural land. The under-bidder was a local farmer. Cillin Hill offer much more services than just selling livestock. The property division in Cillin Hill is headed by Neville Stanley.
