A filly bred at Ballylinch Stud, adjacent to Mount Juliet, Thomastown was sold yesterday for a staggering €3.2 million.
A daughter of top sire, Galileo which stands at Coolmore, over the border in Tipperary was sold at the Goffs Orby sale.
The seven-figure sum still raised eyebrows as the highest amount paid for a yearling in the world this year.
John O'Connor, of Ballylinch Stud, said everyone was ecstatic at the €3.2 million price tag achieved for the filly.
