From the moment the doors opened at 10am on Friday, Duiske Glass, Graignamanagh was buzzing with eager customers checking out this year’s bargains at the annual Christmas customer appreciation day.
Despite the torrential rain and wind, loyal customers braved the elements as they helped the store celebrate 44 years in business.
Treated to canapés by Edward Hayden, they whiled away the time enjoying refreshments as they picked up some gorgeous gifts.
Carlow Rose
The Carlow Rose, Shauna Ray Lacey, arrived on Friday evening. Customers were delighted to chat with her and have some photos taken.
The event was rounded off by a raffle at 7.30pm and customers continued to shop chat and enjoy refreshments until 8pm.
Maureen O’Shea, founder of Duiske Glass in 1974 with her late husband Harry, was delighted with how the day went and looks forward to the day every year.
Friday saw the start of 2018 Christmas shopping for many customers. The store has new stock arriving daily.
