The bodies of the deceased being taken to Waterford Regional Hospital
The State Pathologist has been informed of the deaths of an elderly couple at their home on the outskirts of Kilkenny City.
Gardaí remain at the scene at Kilderry on the Johnswell Road. The cause of their deaths has not been established. The house has been sealed off and forensic examinations are taking place.
The State Pathologist has been informed and their remains are expected to be removed to Waterford Regional Hospital later today.
The bodies of the man (83) and woman (79) were discovered yesterday evening.
Tributes have been paid to the deceased couple describing 'a good neighbour for decades'.
