Government must tackle the housing and health crisis that has gripped our country - Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council

Trolley crisis continues

I wish for continued good health and happiness for my family.
2019 is a big year for us, I have two sons sitting the Leaving and Junior Cert in June and I hope they and all students achieve the results they want.
Just before that the Local Elections take place in May. It has been an honour to represent the people of South Kilkenny since 2009 and I hope to be re-elected for another five years to continue working for the area.
I want this Government to seriously tackle the housing and health crisis that has gripped our country and will be working with the Council staff to ensure everything that can be done throughout the county is being done to help people find a home.
Cardiac Care
For too long the South East Region has been ignored by successive governments and this year I want 24/7 Cardiac Care and a University for the people of the South East.
As Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council I want to congratulate all the communities that did our county proud in 2018 in many national competitions and wish for continued success to all groups that will represent Kilkenny in 2019.
I also want progress on the Abbey Quarter and The Kilkenny Greenway through Slieverue and Glenmore providing an economic boost for the county. I also want to see safety work on the Piltown Bypass progressed this year.
Destroying Towns
Illegal dumping is destroying our towns and countryside and I want people to think twice before dumping their rubbish.
I hope those involved in Criminality are severely punished for their crimes and people start to feel safer in their homes.
I hope Mullinavat win the county senior hurling championship, Kilkenny win the hurling and camogie All-Irelands, Ireland win the Rugby World Cup and Liverpool win the Premier League and Champions League. The GAA hierarchy need to treat the club players with some respect.
In 2019 I would like to have a little more time for family life and to exercise more - and of course win the Lotto!
I hope all the people of Kilkenny had a great Christmas and I want to wish them a happy new year.
