A female arrested and questioned in connection with a significant drugs seizure in Ballytobin last night has been released.
Gardaí from the Thomastown Traffic Unit stopped a blue Audi at 5.20pm. The driver fled the scene and the passenger was arrested. The driver was subsequently located and arrested.
The car was detained and searched and approximately €14,000 worth of heroin and cannabis were located under the bonnet.
A male and female were detained at Thomastown Garda Station. The female has been released and a file on the matter is being prepared for the DPP. The male suspect remains in garda custody.
