TACHE 4 CASH

Facial hair is being grown by each of the participants with their efforts culminating in an event on February 1

The countdown is on for nine men who are leading a fundraiser in aid of a local sports group.

Jim Fallon, Séamus Knox, Owen Harrisson, Bob Moore, Ken Cogley, Sean Ryan, Jim McCormack, Joe Sheridan and local councillor Matt Doran have all been signed up for ‘Tache4Cash’, taking place next month.

As the name suggests, facial hair is being grown by each of the participants with their efforts culminating in an event on February 1 which takes place at Set Theatre at Langton’s.

You can watch as each of the men are being shaved while there’s other entertainment in the form of music. So, there’s just weeks to go to the main event, for which doors open from 8.30pm with the hair set to fall from 9.30pm.

Entry will cost €10 with proceeds from the occasion due to go to Dunnamaggin Ladies Gaelic Football Club.

For more information on the event, or to donate to the cause or sponsor one of the lads, check out their pages on Facebook and ifundraise.ie.
