Operation Transformation gets off to a strong start in Kilkenny

Over three people turned out for the Kilkenny walk

Over three hundred people in Kilkenny City took a step in the right direction on Saturday where they participated in the 5 kilometre Operation Tranformation walk.
The event which took place at the Castle Park was organised by the Kilkenny Recreation and Social Partnership.
As well as completing the walk there were also a number of exercising stations on the route and participants were encouraged to do short bursts of activities such as boxercise, jumping jacks and squats. Operation Transformation walks also took place in Castlecomer, Conahy and Windgap.
OperationTransformation is one of the nation’s most beloved and eagerly awaited shows during the year, offering motivation, laughs, tears and inspiration for countless people on their own weight loss journeys.
Accord ing to the organiser the walks are a great way to kick-start your fitness regime and make you aware of the need to look after your health and wellbeing for 2019.
