Works finally begin this week at Killarney Bridge in Thomastown

The end of Killarney Bridge’s current traffic problems is in sight!

Irish Rail have confirmed to Kilkenny County Council that a contractor will begin works on site next Wednesday, February 16.

One lane on the approach road to the bridge has been closed since November 15, 2021, with a stop-go system for traffic in place, after a supporting wall partially collapsed.
