Coláiste Mhuire Johnstown celebrates International Women’s Day 2022

Coláiste Mhuire Johnstown recently celebrated International Women’s Day 2022.

For International Women's Day 2022, the theme was #BreakTheBias, a global call to arms to tackle discrimination, celebrate our differences and forge an equal future.

As part of the celebration in the school Ms O Dowd along with her 2nd year CSPE class produced some wonderful posters about influential women. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Rosa Parkes, Kamala Harris, and Katie Taylor were some of the women chosen.

Ms O Dowd explained how much enjoyment the students got from the projects, and how they thoroughly enjoyed the research. Well done to all involved.
