Exploring Woodstock with Teagasc for Science Week 2022

As part of this year’s Science Week Festival of Farming and Food events, Teagasc hosted a Trails and Tales event at Woodstock in Inistioge.
Frances McHugh, a Teagasc Forestry Advisor, took a group on a looped walk of the forest, explaining all about the benefits of forestry on the way - from carbon sequestration to biodiversity - not to mention the benefits to our wellbeing.
A Trails and Tales walk also took place at Castlecomer Discovery Park.
The Festival of Farming and Food was an educational and fun week, full of amazing science activities, experiences, talks and exhibitions, for children and grown-ups. Science Foundation Ireland and Teagasc sponsor the festival.
