Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to an assault at Rose Inn Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A man in his late twenties was assaulted by a group of men who were not known to him.
The man had a swollen left eye but did not require medical treatment.
The incident occurred between 2am and 2.30am.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with dash cam, CCTV or any information to contact them in Kilkenny Garda Station.
