Kyle Jordan of Kilfane Handball Club won gold yesterday in San Francisco at the United States Handball Association Junior Nationals. Kyle from Thomastown has just been crowned 19 and under USHA CHAMPION in San Francisco.
Kyle plays for Kilfane Handball Club and his win is a major boost for the club and his hometown of Thomastown,
He is a member of an eight-strong GAA Handball squad who flew out to San Francisco on Wednesday December 21, for the United States Handball Association Junior Nationals, which are taking place in Pleasonton, USA.
Kyle is the Captain of the squad which features male and female reps in the U-15, U-17 and U-19 divisions.
The full Irish squad are: Kyle Jordan (Kilfane, Kilkenny, U19), Rory Carthy (St Coman’s, Roscommon, U17), Anthony Clifford (Talbot’s Inch, Kilkenny, U15), Jodie Keeling (St Joseph’s, Wexford, U19), Leah Minogue (Tuamgraney, Clare, U17), Carmel Kelleher (Boherbue, Cork, U15), Aengus Cunningham (St Coman’s, Roscommon, coach), Eilise McRory (Breacach, Tyrone, coach).
