JOB ALERT: Kilkenny County Council seeking firefighters across five fire stations
Kilkenny County Council are currently seeking retained firefighters across five fire stations.
The stations seeking new firefighters are Castlecomer, Freshford, Thomastown, Urlingford and Graiguenamanagh.
Anyone interested in applying to one of the above vacancies must live and work within a reasonable distance from the fire station to allow them to respond within the turnout time for the duration of their employment as a firefighter.
The positions available are part-time and the closing date for applications is Monday 14 October at 4pm.

Applicants are not required to have any training within fire services. People applying must be over the age of 18-years-old, have a good standard of general education, be of good health to carry out the responsibilities of the role and have a Category B driving license.
Successful candidates will undergo extensive training.
A panel will be formed from which relevant vacancies may be filled.
