Kilkenny County Council are currently searching for a new Energy Officer. 

The role will be based in Kilkenny County Council's Climate Action Office and will be responsible for a range of projects and initiatives to advance the local authority's commitments to energy efficiency and emission reductions. 

The salary scale for this position starts at €57,909 and goes up to €80,498. It is worth noting for anyone interested, that candidates who are not currently employed with the local authority will be placed on the minimum of this scale.

There are a number of requirements candidates must have before applying for this job. 

For example, anyone applying must have an honours degree in Engineering, Planning, Science, Environmental Science, Architecture, Energy Management or equivalent.

They also must have at least three years of relevant experience, a proven track record in project management and a high standard of administrative experience.

The closing date for applications is Friday 25 October at 4pm.
