Fancy being a pay station attendent in Kilkenny? The salary might surprise you!

Applications are currently being accepted by Kilkenny County Council from qualified persons who wish to apply for the role of 'pay station attendant'.

Duties of the pay station attendant shall include but not limited to:
Opening car parks each day.
Collecting cash from outlaying car parks.
Monitoring car park entries, exits and automatic pay stations.
Maintaining car park machinery.
Reporting maintenance faults.
Reconciling income, submitting shift reports, maintaining financial reports and data.
Manning the pay station and responding to the public through an intercom system.
Working with and liaising with business/shop owners.
Ensuring the car parks and pay station always remain in a clean and safe condition.

The above specification is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties involved and consequently, the post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned to him/her from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post while in office.

The current salary scale for the position is €743.62 (minimum) to €766.72 (maximum) gross weekly pay.

Persons who are not serving local authority employees must be placed on the minimum of the scale.

A panel will be formed from which relevant vacancies may be filled.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is: Monday, November 19, 2024, at 4pm.
