Community mourns death of young hurler from Kilkenny

A talented young hurler was killed earlier today in a single-vehicle collision.

James Nolan, who hurled for Clara GAA club and also played at county level was pronounced dead at the scene when the vehicle he was driving collided with a wall at Carn in Dunbell.

His body has been removed to St Luke’s General Hospital and a post-mortem will take place in due course.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make it available to Gardaí.
