Gardaí in Kilkenny stopped a motorist on Saturday who was doing well over the legal speed limit.
"When you're doing 72km/h in a 50 [zone] expect blue lights in your mirror," gardaí stated.
The motorist will now receive a fixed charge notice with fine and penalty points.
