23 patients on trolleys at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny

Twenty seven patients are on trolleys at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny today according to the latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Nationally there are 560 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch. 423 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 137 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

These patients are often being treated on trolleys in corridors, but they may also be on chairs, in waiting rooms, or simply wherever there’s space.
