Local handballer Anthony Clifford won the Boys U16 Singles All-Ireland Final on Thursday evening, defeating Cork’s Ryan Linehan.
The Talbots Inch clubman was in superb form, winning comprehensively in two straight games to secure victory. The win marked a double for Clifford at U16 level, following his 40x20 singles success earlier this year.
Clifford becomes the 15th Kilkenny man to win the competition and joins father Timmy, who won the same competition in 1996.
