TROLLEY WATCH: St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny bucks worrying trend

There are no patients waiting on trolleys in the emergency department at St Luke’s Gerneral Hospital, Kilkenny today (October 20) while four patients are waiting on the wards according to the latest daily Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) trolley watch figures.

At its highest, 17 patients were waiting on trolleys in the local hospital earlier this week.

Nationally, there are 390 admitted patients waiting for beds today, 286 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 104 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
