WEATHER ALERT: Flooding in Kilkenny City

The impact of Kilkenny's Orange Weather Warning has been felt in the city this morning following serious flooding at the railway bridge on O'Loughlin Road.

On Sunday, Met Eireann announced a warning for heavy and persistent rain with thundery downpours for Kilkenny, along with Wexford and Waterford from 4am on Monday to 4am on Tuesday.

Kilkenny County Council warn of poor visibility, dangerous travel conditions and possible flooding because of the heavy rain.
