Cllr Eugene McGuinness has condemned the 'dumping and burning' that took place in the Newpark Fen area of Kilkenny over Hallowe'en.
"Dreadful to see the dumping and burning on the beautiful Newpark Fen," he said.
"It would seem that rather than kids out having fun on Hallowe'en night it was an opportunity for someone to dump some of their old furniture, mattresses and rubbish.
"I’ve reported the matter to Kilkenny County Council who hopefully will get this dreadful mess cleaned up as soon as possible."
