The Closh / Picture: Cllr Andrew McGuinness
Cllr Andrew McGuinness has taken to social media to highlight the poor condition of The Closh in Kilkenny after it was used as a circus venue during St Patrick's Week.
It appears that the combination of heavy machinery and soft ground caused a lot of surface damage to the area during the time the circus spent in The Marble City.
"Circus operators that used The Closh over the weekend should never be allowed in Kilkenny again," Cllr McGuinness said.
"[They] need to make right the mess they left behind them."
Kilkenny Live understands that the circus has agreed to return to the site to help amend the damage.
