'Kilkenny For All' met first at The Parade in Kilkenny City at 6.30pm.

The aim of the demonstration was, according to a 'Kilkenny For All' spokesperson, 'to counter the current anti-migrant protests occurring in the city'.

Thirty minutes later, a large group assembled under The Tholsel in Kilkenny City, in a demonstration spearheaded by  a group known as 'Kilkenny Says No'.

'Kilkenny Says No' have shown continued opposition to plans, confirmed by the Department of Integration, to accommodate International Protection Applicants (IPAs) in River View House on the Dublin Road in Kilkenny City.
