Proud day for Kilkenny family as Scanlon completes army training

The Scanlon family were on cloud nine on Friday afternoon as Ryan celebrated the completion of his recruit training in James Stephens Barracks.

Ryan, a former student in St Kieran's College is a long-standing and respected member of the James Stephens GAA Club and has featured heavily for club teams across various grades since an early age.

The Scanlon family have 'soldiered' with the club for many years with his dad Tony a committed volunteer & coach, while relations Luke, Zac and more continue to ply their trade on the hurling fields.

We wish Ryan continued success on and off the hurling field!
