33 patients now waiting on hospital beds in St. Luke's Hospital Kilkenny

Figures published in the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organization of Ireland's (INMO) Trolley Watch report have revealed that 33 patients have been left waiting on beds in St. Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny today. 

Eighteen of these patients have been waiting in the emergency department, with the remaining fifteen waiting in wards elsewhere. 

This shows a significant spike in numbers from yesterday's report. On Monday, there had 17 patients waiting on beds- ten in the emergency ward and seven elsewhere.

Overall, 641 admitted patients were waiting on hospital beds across the country today, an increase of 28 since yesterday's report. 452 of these patients were waiting in emergency departments, with the remaining 189 in other wards.
