Two surprise visitors stopped off at Kilkenny Garda Station last week, as the local station received a sprinkling of international policing.
"Gardaí Diarmuid Leahy and Cian O'Connor were delighted when fellow law enforcement from far away shores called in to say hello earlier," a post to the An Garda Síochana Kilkenny Facebook page read.
"Karen O'Reilly (the O'Reillys of Massachusetts) is an animal control officer with the Weston Police Department and she was accompanied by Greg Murphy (wonder does he get called spud?), a retired Fire Chief from Michigan.
"The lads exchanged badges and had chats. Thanks for the visit," the post concluded.
