Kilkenny County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused.

ALERT: Two prominent Kilkenny streets to close as council works to take place

John Street, Kilkenny City

Kilkenny County Council wish to advise that Shareridge Civil Engineering Ltd on behalf of Uisce Éireann, require a temporary vehicular road closure on John Street Lower and on Friary Street.

Traffic will be restricted from entering John Street from the Dublin Road Junction with local access only provided to Upper John Street and Maudlin Street. The junction with Michael Street will remain open.

Meanwhile, Friary Street will be closed from its junction with High Street to its junction with Parnell Street to facilitate urgent works.

Works will be in progress from 6.30pm to 12 midnight and local diversions will be in operation and signposted. Delays can be expected.
