One of the Tea Houses on John's Quay in Kilkenny City
The much-admired Tea Houses on John's Quay in Kilkenny City will be used to facilitate a new initiative, The Kilkenny Artists Café.
The café will be an informal space for artists to come together and discuss issues, discover new approaches and meet other artists, over a cuppa!
These sessions will take place in the Tea Houses on a bi-monthly basis.
Kicking off on Friday, May 16, the first session has the theme of 'Getting Your Work Out There' where Eamonn Maxwell will be giving insights into how artists can get themselves and their work better known, from successful applications to networking.

Themes for future sessions will come from the suggestions of attending artists, deciphering what is important and useful for those gathered.
Kilkenny Artists Café was created in response to artists saying they want more opportunity to meet with others.
Search 'Kilkenny Artists Cafe' on Eventbrite to reserve your spot at the first session.
