Major roadworks have commenced from today (Monday, May 12) in Kilkenny City that will inevitably lead to delays for local motorists, Kilkenny County Council have advised.
The local authority wish to communicate that a contractor, as part of the new CBS Secondary School scheme, will have a 'stop and go' traffic management operation in place in the vicinity of the newly constructed Freshford Road Roundabout (R693) from this Monday (May 12) until June 6, 2025 - on a 24 hour basis.
The measures will include temporary traffic lights at night to facilitate the re-surfacing and kerbing of the newly constructed roundabout.
