Two brand new pieces of infrastructure built at busy locations in Kilkenny

Two new pedestrian crossings have been installed in Kilkenny City on the Johnswell Road and Castlecomer Road which will connect people safely to shops, bus stops and Pococke Park.

The schemes were delivered by the Active Travel Team in Kilkenny County Council and funded by the National Transport Authority.

"Pedestrian crossings contribute to slower traffic speeds, ultimately providing safer and calmer environments for all," a spokesperson for Kilkenny County Council said.

"Thank you to our colleagues in the Kilkenny City Municipal District Area for their work in completing these schemes," they added.
