Cllr Dollard welcomed the work being done by the local authority, saying that 'lots of people are commenting about how nice Kilkenny looks', before raising concern about this particular crossing.

"In relation to traffic at Green's Bridge, they'd mow you down," she said.

Of particular concern for Cllr Dollard were 'the pedestrians who use the crossing'.

COURTESY CROSSING

Back in 2023, there was debate in the council chamber when it was confirmed no plans were in place to reinstate the courtesy crossing at the other side of Green's Bridge.
