An Garda Síochana were forced to chase down a driver who failed to stop at a routine traffic stop on the Ring Road in Kilkenny on Sunday.
"Unfortunately the driver, in a grey Mondeo had different ideas and refused to comply," a garda spokesperson said.
"He was followed, all the time refusing to stop, for a period of time and committed several counts of dangerous driving.

"After making a wrong turn, he ended up on farmland in the Outrath area," they added.
"The landowner assisted Gardai from Unit D and the Detective branch and located the suspect who was arrested and charged with five counts of Dangerous Driving, no driving licence (disqualified) and no insurance."
