A Kilkenny pub remains closed 'until further notice' at the time of writing due to renovation works following a fire earlier this week.
Popular local bar Lanigans, located in the heart of the city on Rose Inn Street, shared the news with their followers on social media.
"We are closed for renovations until further notice sorry for any inconvenience caused," a brief post read.

It is not yet clear when the popular local meet and greet spot will be re-open or the extent of the renovation works being carried out.
Earlier this week, Kilkenny Live reported that gardaí assisted local fire services in extinguishing a fire at a premises on Rose Street in the city centre overnight.
"Reports of a fire emerged shortly after 1am last night (Wednesday)," a garda source told this publication.
"The premises was closed at the time and no injuries were reported," the source added.
