A Kilkenny City pub successfully recovered a treasured painting which was reportedly 'stolen' from the premises earlier this year with many locals puzzled by the disappearance.
A painting was 'stolen' off the wall of Ryan's pub in Friary Street over the March Bank-Holiday weekend.
"Make it too hot to handle, keep an eye out please! Reward offered," the pub posted to social media.

However, after a 'whirlwind investigation', the painting has since been recovered.
"After a whirlwind investigation led by the BABA JASUS and coordinated with the third order and the local knights of Columbanas, we have successfully recovered the painting, up the Cats!"
