The Waterford Road in Kilkenny
A Stop-Go traffic management system, which has been in operation on the Waterford Road at the section between the Ring Road and Lidl, is set to stay in place until at least the end of the month.
The traffic management system will be in place from Thursday, January 22 to Friday, January 30 from 10am to 5pm each day to facilitate roadworks.

Last year, over €1 million in funding was announced to upgrade the local stretch of road.

The funding, which equates to €1.4 million in total, will be put towards reinforcing the existing cycle lane on the road.
A non-statutory public consultation was held on the Radial Routes within the city (Waterford Road included) to seek feedback and input on how these routes can be best designed to meet the community’s needs.
The feedback has subsequently been used to guide the ongoing design process.
