An Garda Síochána in Kilkenny have arrested a driver after it emerged that they provided a false name during a traffic stop. The incident occurred when officers stopped the vehicle and discovered that the driver did not have valid insurance or a current NCT (National Car Test).
"The driver of the BMW pictured was stopped subsequent to a 'No Insurance' ping. What followed was a chat where the driver gave a false name," a garda spokesperson posted to social media.
"His insurance disc was also false and NCT notable by its absence.
"An arrest followed, giving time for contemplation and an appointment at Kilkenny District Court. Poetic Justice?"
