Kilkenny gathering marks International Women's Day

Rotary Club of Kilkenny hosts Loreto Interact Club and CEO of DCCI Mary Blanchfield

The Rotary Club of Kilkenny marked this year's International Women's Day, this week, with a gathering at the Club House Hotel.

Joining club members were the young women of the Interact Club at Loreto Secondary School and special guest speaker Mary Blanchfield, CEO of the Design and Craft Council of Ireland (DCCI).

Mary spoke about the work of the DCCI, which is headquartered in Kilkenny, and shared some words of wisdom about her career with the Loreto ladies.

The Interact Club also shared some of the projects they have been working on, in the community, this year, including a Christmas Toy Drive and fundraising for cancer research.
