Castlecomer Discovery Park is now fully closed after a large chestnut tree came crashing down near the main entrance earlier today.
"Please do not come walking in the park until the storm passes," a Park spokesperson confirmed.
"There is a large tree down on the main entrance way and work is underway to remove it."
Meanwhile, in the city, a large tree has fallen on the grounds of Kilkenny College.
